Brief Description: Finish elevator rod and rudder cable holes
Finish enlarging/elongating vertical channel holes to provide clearance for the elevator push rod and rudder cables on the aft fuselage. Lots of trial and error to get clearance.
The connection of the elevator pushrod to the elevator horn is not as shown in C01 Detail G, where the rod is positioned outboard of the horn. Dwg T05-02 shows the horn welded to the left of the center line. My part has the horn welded to the right of the centerline. I checked with Sonex and there was a batch of early parts with the horn welded right of center. I apparently have one of those early parts. Sonex advised mounting the rod to the horn for best fit, thus my control rod is mounted inboard of the horn. The net result should be about the same with the rod positioned near the centerline.
